This ~2.5h session will cover everything you need to know to ace your third quiz. The focus will be entirely on solving representative quiz-level problems. We will briefly review the necessary theory in an easy-to-understand way, and then see how it applies to the types of questions you can expect to see on your quiz. Despite the brief summaries of the theory, it is expected that students come prepared and with a basic familiarity with the material – the focus will be on probelm-solving.
Topics covered will include: infinite limits; asymptotes; limit-definition of the derivative; rules for differentiation; advanced application of product, chain and quotient rules; implicit differentation; tangent lines; horizontal tangency; application to position, velocity and acceleration, as well as special limits.
